DPJ Foundation

The DPJ Foundation was set up in July 2016 in Pembrokeshire, supporting those in the agricultural sector. The mental health charity has grown and covers the whole of Wales with all areas of support. The DPJ Foundation works with leading organisations in the sector including NFU Cymru, FUW, YFC, vets and Welsh Government to help provide an accessible and flexible service.

The DPJ Foundation was setup to:

o   Support through specific local counselling

o   Awareness through social media discussing mental health

o   Mental Health Awareness we offer a bespoke training package to help

Share the load is our 24/7 counselling referral service which operates specifically for those who work in agriculture.

This was set up because of the long waiting times associated with counselling and the difficulty in accessing support.

We have over 30 Samaritan trained volunteers who run the call line and text service.
