We are a small but mighty team at Tŷ Cemaes, all with different skills and areas of knowledge, we aim to be a welcoming place and people are key to that.
Led by Isabel, who founded Tŷ Cemaes in 2019; she is from Aberaeron, and before Tŷ Cemaes specialised in sustainability and climate policy; doing lots of thinking and creating scenarios of positive sustainable futures. She is often helped by her Mum Sarah Holgate, who is an amazing cook and experienced business woman who ran our family business the Hive on the Quay & famous Honey Ice Cream in Aberaeron for several decades.
In 2020 Isabel was joined by Eleri from Cwm Llinau. She saw Tŷ Cemaes through the ups and downs of the lockdowns and a huge surge in customers during 2020, what a ride it was. 2020 also gave us Craig, from Cemaes itself, his caring and calm presence got us through 2021 until he left for a great job as rugby rep in a local school.
In 2021 we were joined by Liz, who lives in Cemaes with her dogs, goats, chickens and sheep! She brings her vast experience in food retail with her to Tŷ Cemaes, along with lots of fresh ideas.
Our latest addition is Sian Thomas, who also lives down the road, and joins us from her work setting up and coordinating volunteer and community groups in Shropshire, including the Wenlock Clickers, Zero Carbon Shropshire and the local Community Connectors.
